Muscle Relaxant
Muscle relaxants are a generalizing name of a number of drugs which due to effect of this or that active agent allow to weaken skeletal muscles up to a full obezdvizhennost. Such drugs are applied in treatment of different diseases and also in the diagnostic purposes when it is necessary that the person was in consciousness, and his muscles at the same time were not reduced.
Muscle relaxants help to reduce excess tension in a lower back, to remove the raised tone of muscles at the patients who had a stroke after a craniocereberal or spinal trauma, at disseminated skleroze1 and some other diseases.
There are muscle relaxants of the central and peripheral action. The first slow down process of excitement in the central nervous system and suppress reflexes. The second do not influence brain neurons, and affect directly a common ground of muscles with nerve terminations.
