Herbals

Medicinal properties of medicinal plants are caused by presence at them of biologically active agents which are directly influencing physiological processes of a human body and an animal (for example, alkaloids, flavonoids, coumarins, xanthenes, glycosides, vitamins) or the suppressing or killing causative agents of various diseases (for example, vegetable antibiotics). The structure and amount of active ingredients in different bodies of medicinal plants are various, they change within year, with age plants, quite often depend on conditions of a habitat and the geographic location. Usually prepare those parts of plants in which in terms, optimum for preparations, the maximum quantity of active ingredients collects. In the majority of the countries the source of raw materials of medicinal plants is formed on the basis of collecting medicinal vegetable raw materials in wild-growing populations, on cultural plantations and also the raw materials which are purchased on import.
